Where Healing Means Connection

reKindle Institute exists to restore, empower, and strengthen the emotional foundations of families, couples, individuals, and communities across Africa. We bridge the gap between clinical excellence and cultural understanding, creating healing spaces where evidence-based psychology meets African wisdom, faith traditions, and lived experiences.

Clinical Practice & Therapy Services

We offer trauma-informed, evidence-based psychotherapy and family systems interventions for individuals navigating personal healing, couples rebuilding connection, and families seeking generational restoration. Our approach integrates the MEEA therapeutic model with deep understanding of African family dynamics.

The reKindle Difference

Why our approach to healing trauma, grief, and shame transforms lives

Healing at the Intersection

We address trauma, grief, and shame together, not in isolation, because they rarely exist separately. This integrated approach creates comprehensive, lasting healing.

MEEA Model

Our unique integration of Mindfulness, Emotionally Focused Therapy, EMDR, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy provides a holistic path to emotional regulation and relational healing.

Culturally Responsive

Our programs honor African cultural contexts while maintaining therapeutic integrity, ensuring healing is accessible, relevant, and respectful of diverse backgrounds.

Understanding the Intersection

Trauma

Creates disorganized attachment, emotional dysregulation, and fear-based intimacy patterns.

Grief

Arises from loss, of people, identity, expectations, trust, and self-worth, leading to withdrawal or over-functioning.

Shame

Silences authentic expression, fuels conflict cycles, and creates fear of rejection or being "broken."

Trauma wounds → Grief follows → Shame becomes the internal story
